When I started my first business - a bookkeeping service - I had worked in a cubicle for 20 years. I had no idea how to create a successful business! The biggest mistake I made was striving alone for too many years of financial struggles before I finally hired a coach to guide me.

Fear is probably the biggest reason we don't market ourselves. We are afraid of looking foolish. We are afraid of sounding stupid. We are afraid we won't know the answers to the questions people ask us. We are afraid of rejection. That's why I call it COURAGEOUS marketing.
Creating an online marketing system enabled me to attract people I can help and reduced my risk. What is one low-risk thing you can do in your business to attract leads?
The most effective sales techniques are based on an understanding of psychology and the feelings we trigger with our thoughts. For example, when a lead gets on a call with us, they will be feeling the fear of "being sold". They don't want to be pushed into something they don't need or want.
It's important to tell them at the beginning: 'There is no obligation to buy. This call is just to find out if I can help you solve a problem. If not, that's ok!' And it's equally important for you to really mean those words!
